Mr. Raney earned his BA from The College of Saint Rose and MA from New York Institute of Technology. He majored in Applied Technology Education as an undergraduate and focused on Instructional Technology in graduate school. Beginning his teaching experience in 2006, he has taught middle and high school students in both urban and suburban settings. Mr. Raney currently teaches Project Lead the Way Engineering dual-credit courses, including Principles of Engineering Civil Engineering & Architecture and Engineering Design & Development. He also developed and teaches Video Production I, II, and III, and advises both the Film Club and Rock & Roll Club. Mr. Raney chaperones sporting events, films district and community events to highlight local achievements and has served on the Technology and Communications Committees. He has also taught a Flight Simulation course for the Science and Technology Entry Program at SUNY New Paltz, preparing underrepresented students for college. Passionate about student success, Mr. Raney is pursuing Career and Technical Education approval for his courses to grant professional certifications, dual credit, and career connections. Mr. Raney was named a NYS Master Teacher. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, hiking, woodworking, home remodeling, and videography.
